The surprise of Konami's E3 2009 press conference was the announcement of Kojima's Metal Gear Arcade. Confirmed thus far only for Japanese arcades, the cabinet uses special 3D goggles and a unique interface, and allows other cabinets to be connected locally and over the internet, meaning competitive play against real opponents, potentially, throughout the world.
